2. 2 August 5, 2008 Day of arrival. Arrived about 10 am at the Hyatt Regency and they had my room ready without any extra charge! Went to the 16 th Street Mall – a mile long street loaded with gift shops, boutiques, restaurants, cafes, you name it. Then to the Convention Centre for pre-reg. The Centre was enormous and pre-reg tables were way, way back, a hike of at least one and a half city blocks! And it has a Blue Bear Standing guard outside! 4. 4 First day of World Con – August 6, 2008! (Dont let the date on the pics fool you. The camera was in a time warp) Long line-up for registration!
