MESSAGE Local impact Talk about local impacts, friendships and taking action. Many of us have had the opportunity to be involved in international service and have seen firsthand the significant ways we change lives worldwide. Tell those stories also. But remember for potential members and new members, their connection to Rotary is their local community and local friends. So tell the local stories also. And talk about how those international stories have local impact - how they inspired students to fundraise, or travel. How local business people came together to help people in need elsewhere. 3 Avoiding “Rotary” speak
MESSAGE Compelling story Tell compelling stories. Avoid “Rotary” speak about being on a GSE that did an NID or how the DG, DGE, DGN and DGND were at RYLA or RYPEN. Be an interpreter for ordinary people. Use consistent visuals such as the new Rotary logo Avoiding “Rotary” speak Consistent visuals

You can find many of these in the Rotary Brand Center. You will find our new logos, download our guidelines and learn more about our voice and visual identity. The Brand Center gives you access to images, videos and ”This Close” advertisements. You can download templates for PowerPoint, letterhead, business cards, news releases, and club newsletters. You can create a customizable club brochure and flyers.

ROTARY RESOURCES Rotary Ideas ideas.rotary.org Rotary has created a video channel on YouTube and Vimeo and is active on Facebook, Twitter and other social media sites, as well as specific Rotary sites such as Rotary Ideas, Rotary Showcase and Discussion Groups. And the newest program created by President Ravi is Rotary Global Rewards where we partner with many companies - both Rotary members and non-Rotarian organizations - to offer membership rewards, either as discounts to you or in the form of donations to The Rotary Foundation.
