1 Renaissance Figures

2 Michelangelo An Italian sculptor, painter, architect and poet of the High Renaissance born in the Republic of Florence Italy. Considered by some the greatest living artist during his lifetime, he has since been described as one of the greatest artists of all time. Despite making few forays beyond the arts, his artistic versatility was of such a high order that he is often considered a contender for the title of the Renaissance man.

3 Leonardo da Vinci Areas of interest included invention, painting, sculpting, architecture, science, music, mathematics, engineering, literature, anatomy, geology, astronomy, botany, writing, and history. Is widely considered one of the greatest painters of all time. Sometimes credited with the inventions of the parachute, helicopter and tank. He is widely considered one of the most diversely talented individuals ever to have lived.

4 Raphael An Italian painter and architect of the Renaissance.
His work is admired for its clarity of form, ease of composition, and visual achievement . Together with Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci, he forms the traditional trinity of great masters of that period.

5 Galileo Galilei Known for his work as astronomer, physicist, engineer, philosopher, and mathematician. Galileo has been called the "father of observational astronomy“. The "father of modern physics" the "father of the scientific method", and the "father of modern science"

6 Titian Recognized by his contemporaries as "The Sun Amidst Small Stars" Titian was one of the most versatile of Italian painters, equally adept with portraits, landscape backgrounds, and mythological and religious subjects. His painting methods influenced not only on painters of the late Italian Renaissance, but future generations.

7 Machiavelli An Italian diplomat, politician, historian, philosopher, humanist, writer, playwright and poet of the Renaissance period. Often been called the father of modern political science. He also wrote comedies, carnival songs, and poetry. He wrote his most well-known work The Prince in 1513
