What is FAFSA?
FAFSA stands for Free Application for Federal Student Aid
To apply for federal student aid, such as federal grants, work-study, and loans, you need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
You must apply for FAFSA every year
First day you can apply for the FAFSA is October 1, 2018, and the priority deadline is January 15, 2019.

What is TASFA?
TASFA stands for Texas Application for State Financial Aid.
The TASFA is state financial aid available for students who do not have a Social Security Number, are not eligible for federal student aid, and who are not able to electronically submit the FAFSA application.
