9. More than 250 Local Authorities have, so far, signed up for the Food Hygiene Rating Scheme. Numbers are growing all the time and the Food Standards Agency anticipate that around 95% of authorities will be in the scheme by summer 2012. This is excellent news for consumers and businesses across the three countries. Currently there are over 152,000 businesses included on the national scheme with approximately 650 launching the Scheme in Huntingdonshire.
