10. Your Outline
Look at your thesis statement to find your main topics (usually 3-4)
Organize your note cards by main topics across the top of your desk
Under the main topic cards, organize your subtopic cards
Extra cards that don’t “fit” might be background for your introduction paragraph (put them in a separate pile)
Move the main information from the cards onto your outline and reorganize your cards into one pile again
