10 First Grade Homework Policy
Purpose: Provide critical and creative thinking activities that correspond with our new curriculum. Provide reinforcement of lessons/units taught, practice towards mastery of a skill, introduce a new unit or subject area. Provide support during homework completion as needed. This is an opportunity for connection between home and school. Strengthen concepts and skills Develop initiative, responsibility, self-direction and organizational skills.

11 Homework should be returned on Friday even if not complete.
Homework will be checked to see if it is complete, correct, and neat. Homework Includes: 1. Homework Journal: 1 assignment a night completed in the journal and should take about minutes (MAXIMUM). 2.Nightly Reading Log: An additional minutes a night is required Homework should be returned on Friday even if not complete.
