Fig 1 (A) Iodine-131 labeled metaiodobenzylguanidine (MIBG) scintillation scan illustrated an area of intense uptake in the thorax. (B) Magnetic resonance image shows the tumor located in the right atrium and right ventricle. (C) Coronary angiogram shows tumor was fed by the right coronary artery and enclosed the proximal segment of the vessel. Fig 2 (A) The tumor was found within the right atrium and was partially attached to the front wall of the right ventricle. (B, C) A round, solid pheochromocytoma (6.0 × 4.9 × 4.0 cm3; weight, 41.7 g) was resected. (D) A coronary artery bypass graft was performed with aid of a saphena graft, which was proximally anastomosed to the ascendant aorta. The right atrium was reconstructed and the right ventricle was reinforced by a single patch of autologous pericardia. Fig 3 The right heart tumor presented a typical pheochromocytoma in photomicrograph (A) showed cells positive for chromogranin A staining (hematoxylin & eosin, ×200) and (B) immunohistochemistry (Diaminobezidin, ×400). Fig 4 A coronary angiogram was repeated, which presented a perfect patency of the saphena graft. The Annals of Thoracic Surgery , DOI: ( /j.athoracsur ) Copyright © 2009 The Society of Thoracic Surgeons Terms and Conditions
