Image showing the destruction of Hurricane Katrina. When a whole neighborhood is destroyed, especially a poor one, it can be extremely difficult to rebuild.

I learned that there were a few repeating themes across all of our research:
Death toll is linked to income level Increased construction quality in higher income neighborhoods is linked to higher survival rates The cost of rich countries to rebuild may be more but it has less of an effect on the country, than a poor country would have
