Becoming what we behold
2 Corinthians 3:18
2
2 Corinthians 3:7-18 (NLT) The old way, with laws etched in stone, led to death, though it began with such glory that the people of Israel could not bear to look at Moses’ face. For his face shone with the glory of God, even though the brightness was already fading away. 8Shouldn't we expect far greater glory when the Holy Spirit is giving life? 9If the old covenant, which brings condemnation, was glorious, how much more glorious is the new covenant, which makes us right with God!
3
10In fact, that first glory was not glorious at all compared with the overwhelming glory of the new covenant. 11So if the old covenant, which has been set aside, was full of glory, then the new covenant, which remains forever, has far greater glory. 12Since this new covenant gives us such confidence, we can be very bold. 13We are not like Moses, who put a veil over his face so the people of Israel would not see the glory fading away.
4
14But the people's minds were hardened, and even to this day whenever the old covenant is being read, a veil covers their minds so they cannot understand the truth. And this veil can be removed only by believing in Christ. (can experience God directly/personally) 15Yes, even today when they read Moses' writings, their hearts are covered with that veil, and they do not understand. 16But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, then the veil is taken away.
5
17Now, the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, he gives freedom (freedom to be in God’s presence and experience Him directly/personally). 18And all of us have had that veil removed so that we can be mirrors that brightly reflect the glory of the Lord. And as the Spirit of the Lord works within us, we become more and more like him and reflect his glory even more.

2 Corinthians 3:18 (ESV) - And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.

Exodus 33:18-19 - Moses said, “Please show me your glory
Exodus 33: Moses said, “Please show me your glory.” 19And he said, “I will make all my goodness pass before you and will proclaim before you my name ‘The Lord.’ And I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy.
10
Exodus 34:5-7 - The Lord descended in the cloud and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the Lord. 6The Lord passed before him and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord, a God merciful (compassionate) and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness (truthfulness), 7keeping steadfast love (loving- kindness) for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but who will by no means clear the guilty,…”

Where are you not beholding God rightly
Where are you not beholding God rightly? (Don’t see God this way) Renew your mind with Scriptures which expound on that attribute. Where do you need to reflect His glory more truly? (Where may you be failing to exhibit this attribute or need to grow in it.) Behold His glory in Scriptures which describe that attribute and ask for grace to grow in that area. Behold that characteristic in the life of Jesus.
