12. **NC Residency Determination**
Students should use their CFNC log on info
Any undergraduate student applying for admission to a state supported college or university and claiming residency must use RDS for residency determination (for instate tuition). 
Students applying to, or enrolled at, a NC Independent College or University who want a NC state grant must use RDS for residency determination.
When completed will receive your “RCN” (Residency Certification Number) which will need to be entered to complete a college application
Code is good for 15 months
