3 This tutorial will introduce you to some of the many features that your PMI Portal has to offer. Starting from the home page, you have: quick link access to Blackboard and your MyPMI , a monthly calendar, a news center where you’ll find a link to current events. The message center notifies you of any holds or alerts regarding your financial account, or any appointments. The At a Glance window is especially helpful in showing you your current amount of credits that you’re taking, your GPA, and your account balance at PMI. With these quick links, you can also access your class schedule, profile and financial aid. The Advisor Center posts who your advisor is in case you have any questions or concerns about your student account. Scroll down to the bottom. Last but not least, the Document Center displays a list of the documents that PMI must have on file from you. You can upload these documents directly through the website and keep track of what you’ve turned in, and what you still need to complete. Keep in mind that when you upload a document, it may take several days for it to be accepted. To go back to the Home Page, click My Home Page in the upper left-hand corner. Any of these windows can be minimized by clicking on the icon in the upper right-hand corner of the window. To expand it, simply click the icon again. Let’s look at the menu on the left. Campus Info gives you access to the Faculty Directory in case you need your professor’s contact information. The Academics button lets you view: your attendance, your academic progress. You can print your unofficial transcript from here. Your class schedule, a GPA calculator, your grades, It also gives you direct access to Blackboard. The My Profile button lets you: view your calendar, change your Portal password, view your message center, view your general information, and check your PMI . If you need to check make a payment on your account or view your payment schedule, click My Finances. The My Financial Aid button gives you access to your Award Letter and any other forms you might to print out. You’ll also find Financial Aid links here. Use the MyCareer button to store a copy of your resume and cover letter. Even if you’re just starting school, it’s a good idea to put your career goals down on paper and view them often. Throughout your education at PMI, can store letters of recommendation, journal your volunteer or externship experiences. As you approach graduation, these documents can be especially valuable to an employer who’s considering you for a position. This may be what helps you stand out among the other candidates. Lastly, the MyDocuments button is another way to access your Document Center .
