Each group (4 students/group) will be assigned a State to research the State’s interstate compacts with other states.

Each group will create the following: 1. Reports (4 separate reports): Each student in the group will need select three (3) compacts from their State to right a report. See the list with web links on: Each student will create three (3) separate paragraphs with 300 or more words to explain the purpose of the three different interstate compacts.

2. Concept Web: One per group. 3. Share-Out: Each group will be selected randomly. Students in the group are expected to explain their compacts. If the student cannot explain the purpose of their compact, it will result in a low grade.

4. Graphic Organizer Procedure (Concept Web) Write the name of the State in the middle circle. Use the small circles to fill out the names of each person in the groups. Each person will create a sub-circle to put the name of the three different interstate compact(s) they selected.

6. What is graded? 1. Reports (300 words/person) Each group member must have a report to show their work (full name & number of words used on the report). 2. Concept Web - Students will explain their work (essay & graphic organizer). 3. Participation (“The Process”) – Each student must be involved. The Instructor will monitor the students. Student that are not working will not get credit. 4. Share-Out Each group will be selected randomly. Each student must be prepared and knowledgeable of the purpose of their compacts and which States are involved in the compact.
