Today you will, in writing and orally, analyze multiple interpretations of a poem using graphic organizers (SIFTS, TPCASTT, TWIST, and SOAPSTone) in collaboration with a literature circle to connect the origin of the title Things Fall Apart to the content of the poem using phrases such as
The author chose the title for Things Fall Apart based on _____________ (evidence and interpretation) from the poem “The Second Coming”.

2. Literature Circles Read the poem together as a group
Each group member will complete a different graphic organizer to interpret the poem
The group will compare answers and take notes on back
The group will discuss answers for the questions asked and each group member will write his/her answer on the paper.
Turn these papers in to the folder and place the folder in the basket

3. Homework
Read chapters and complete the summary sheet from Things Fall Apart
Read the interview and complete the questions AND write notes and questions for the Socratic Seminar on Tuesday, March 3, 2015.
Final project due on March 16, Start to think about this!
