Last weekend Mr Whitney was involved in organizing and running England’s first ever Adaptive Surfing Open in the stormy seas of Watergate Bay in Cornwall.
The event was the first of its kind here in England,

The surfers competed in divisions based on their functional surfing ability.
The conditions were less than ideal but nothing would dampen the spirits of the surfers as they enjoyed a day of rivalry and socialising.

Contest organisers took the opportunity to identify potential Team England athletes for the upcoming World Adaptive Surfing Games in California.

Response
Our school values are not confined to this building. They are values that are shared by other people and groups in the community. The ‘Adaptive Surfing Open’ is one example of this.
Take a moments quiet to consider how we may use our school values for the common good of our local community.
