Directions: Glue your new Roots Log into the Roots/Vocabulary section of your composition notebook. You are now to use your new root to complete all five columns in which you will record the following: the root, the definition, example words, your own sentence using the word, and a picture or another sentence representing the word to you. bene/bon (Both of these roots should be recorded in the same row of your Roots Log.) 5 Prompt There are many “Wonder’s” around us. You read two texts:
(1) The Seven Wonders of the World AOW (2) The book Wonder so far. You will answer a writing prompt about the topic of wonders using these two texts. Directions: In one paragraph, explain how the Wonder is related to the Seven Wonders of the world. Be sure to cite evidence from both texts to support your explanation.  Follow the conventions of standard written English.   Reminders: 1. Organize your writing using RACES. 2. Remember to use transition words, or connecting words and phrases. 3. Write the final draft of your paragraph on a sheet of notebook paper. 4. READ what you have written and "catch" any mistakes.  Make corrections.
