9 DISCOVERIES Death of son Gabriele Sanfelice,
5/26/1887, age 3 years (b.~5/1884) Death of daughter Maria Carmela Sanfelice, 3/18/1888, age 28 months (b. ~Dec 1885) Birth of twin daughter Assunta, 8/9/1889; died 8/9/1889 Birth of twin daughter Carolina, 8/10/1889; died 8/11/1889

10 PROVEN Found 4 of the 6 missing children, and their death certificates. Found one set of twins: born one DAY apart, not one month apart. UNPROVEN Second set of twins, which would make the total number of children 12.

11 EVALUATION Gap in children between Raffaele (b. 1890) and Guiseppe (b. 1894) At that time children were usually born every two years At that time children born premature or stillborn may not have been registered

12 CONCLUSION The last two missing children were probably a set of twins born ~1892 who were either premature or stillborn and not registered. Mystery of the missing 6 children is solved as best as it can be with the information available.
