Monday (Mon.) No warm up today because it was MLK Holiday

Tuesday (Tues.) EQ: How does a rock change and how is it classified? WU: What are the 3 types of rocks? Ans: The 3 types of rocks are Igneous, Metamorphic, and Sedimentary.

Monday (Mon.) 1-22-18 WU: How is a rock different than a mineral?
Ans: A rock is made of organic material while a mineral is made from inorganic material.

Tuesday (Tues.) 1-23-18 WU: How are rocks classified?
Ans: Rocks are classified by how they are formed.

Wednesday (Wed.) WU: List 2 ways we could classify an unknown rock. Ans: You can identify an unknown rock by it composition, the minerals that make up the rock, and by its texture.

Thursday (Thurs.) 1-25-18 EQ: How can a rock be recycled?
WU: What is uplift? Ans: Uplift is the movement within the Earth that causes rock inside the Earth to be moved to the surface of the Earth.

Friday (Fri.) WU: List the 4 processes that changes a rock inside the Earth from one type to another. Ans: The processes that changes a rock inside the Earth from one type to another are compaction and cementation, metamorphism, melting and cooling.
