Reasons for API STD 16AR registration
API STD 16AR is important for the industry and may find its way into legislation. For the first time repair and remanufacturing becomes a transparent and auditable activity. Service providers that do adopt the standard, may have to make investments to satisfy the requirements. The playfield is evened and those who make investments to improve our business must feel supported by API. Being able to register their API STD 16AR activity and be visible on the API composite list is needed to offset this investment. 1220 L Street, NW • Washington, DC •

Quality Of Certification
Certification from drill through equipment after remanufacturing sometimes raises concern. Selection of registered service providers for API STD 16AR will improve the quality of the documentation. 1220 L Street, NW • Washington, DC •
