Biography of Elizabeth I
Queen Elizabeth I was born in 1533 in Greenwich England. Her father, King Henry VIII had a series of complicated marriages that left heir to the throne a major complication in England once he passed. Elizabeth was a princess, but was deemed illegitimate temporarily – again, because of the complicated marriages of her father. She eventually became queen at the age of 25 and held it for 44 years. She was noted for keeping England peaceful through wars, and political and religious turmoil. She died in 1603.
