Condom saves Early pregnancies and HIV/AIDS is a serious problem to young girls in Cameroon. Some girls become pregnant due to ignorance but others because of inappropriate use of contraceptives. A girl who masters her menstrual cycle and is flattered by her boy friend to have unprotected sex during her fertile period will become pregnant, and even risks being infected with HIV, if the later is infected. In such a situation only a condom could have saved her, because it doesn’t only protect from pregnancy but also from HIV and other sexually transmitted infections.
