On May 5, 2017 the North Jersey Chapter of Jack and Jill of America Inc. will step back in time and into the magic of Harlem in its Hey Day with our celebration of the Harlem Renaissance We will step into the magic of Harlem and celebrate the Harlem Renaissance with a fun and elegant evening complete with history, charm and style… We’ll will celebrate the vigor and excitement of Ella, Billie, Duke, Zora, Countee Cullen and Langston’s Harlem– in the 1920’s and 1930’s, a period when we were in vogue and the parties were elegant, sassy and legendary. From the Cotton Club to the Lenox Lounge….the joint will be jumpin’ from 7pm until the clock strikes 12… with a gift basket auction, dinner and dancing under the stars and much more for a nearly prohibition-perfect price of only $ per person, all to benefit The Greater Newark Cares Mentoring Movement and The Jack and Jill of America Foundation, Inc., the recipients of our chapter fundraising efforts. The lights will be low, the music will be sweet… it will be just the place for cool cats and good friends to meet!
