Introduction: Step 1 Step 1: Write your thesis What is it? The whole point of your paper The claim you are making The argument you are trying to prove State it clearly and succinctly. Put it at the end of your introduction. Do NOT say I think, I believe, I will explain, etc. You can include your 3 points OR save them for your topic sentences.

In my opinion, college is a must. For me, college is a must. In this essay, I will explain why college is a must for me. Why is attending college a must for me? Let me explain. College is a must for me because I want the experience, my future career requires it, and it will make me a well-rounded, informed citizen.
