Synovial fluid (3 ml) was collected prior to the introduction of HA and the total synovial fluid was collected after 3 h. This procedure was repeated over a 4-week period. The collected synovial fluid was centrifuged for 5 min at 3000 rpm and the cellular components were discarded.
