The Origin of the Seasons
In cooperative/collaborative groups, discuss the question given and cite textual evidence that supports your opinions. Follow the directions below to complete the activity. Get into assigned cooperative/collaborative groups. Using the Accountable Talk rubric, discuss the following question: Which character in this myth do you feel the most sympathy for? WHY? Using the iPad app called Corkulous, post your sticky notes of your group comments and thoughts. Be sure to include any textual evidence or clues that support your opinions. This task uses: Common Core/NG Standard(s): SL.7.1 Engage effectively in a range of collaborative discussions (one-on-one, in groups, and teacher-led) with diverse partners on grade 7 topics, texts, and issues, building on others’ ideas and expressing their own clearly. SL.7.5 Include multimedia components and visual displays in presentations to clarify claims and finding and emphasize salient points.
