* 07/16/96 Curriculum Structure Integrated Personality Development Skills, 12 credits/8% (organized by the university for all new students), Core courses: Basic Knowledge on Humanities, 16 credits/11%, General Linguistics, Literature (given by the Faculty of Humanities), and introduction courses on Korean history, culture, and literature (by the Department of Korean Studies in Indonesian language), 39 credits/27%. Specific skills: Korean Language I—VI, Korean Language for Business & Correspondence, and translation, 51 credits/35 %. Issues to be resolved (for Korean teachers)
* 07/16/96 Issues to be resolved (for Korean teachers) Since the method used is the direct and communicative approach, ideally the teachers should be able to speak some degree of Indonesian language ( if they are unable to speak English). Therefore, the Korean teachers are encouraged to take Indonesian language courses for non-native speakers. (Provided for them free of charge) The term of duty of the Korean teachers ideally should be a minimum of two years to ensure sustainability of the program. To become independent, the university needs at least 8 years to establish a strong Korean Study Program. 2/22/2019 *

* 07/16/96 Supports To support the Korean Study Program, the university has received a collection of 500 books from generous partners such as the Korea Foundation, Academy of Korean Studies through the assistance of the Embassy of Korea in Indonesia. (Note: The Faculty Library has a collection of around titles. The biggest collections are for Dutch and Chinese studies around titles). To reinforce the Korean Study Program:
* 07/16/96 To reinforce the Korean Study Program: Book Project: Considering the insufficient availability of books, the University of Indonesia, through the Department of Linguistics, plans to write and produce a course book on Korean Language; Needs funding to finance the book project; Korean native teachers are needed for a term of at least 2 years, regularly within a period of 8 years. 2/22/2019 *

Papers and thesis writing by the students
* 07/16/96 Papers and thesis writing by the students One of the objectives of language teaching courses is to enable the students to write papers in Korean language. At the end of their studies they have to choose: - To write a thesis in Indonesia on Korean subject - To replace the thesis by courses on special subjects (Korean linguistics/literature/history) The first intake of the students of the Departement of Korean Sudies will face this issue in the academic year 2/22/2019 *
