1 Bellringer: Feb. 3 Complete the bellringer paper. It will be graded. Write with complete sentences and USE YOUR NOTES!!!

2 Peer Editing You have been put into groups.
You need your draft and you will need to allow other students to read your draft and respond to it. If you are using Googledrive, you will need to SHARE the document with your peer and you will need to give them the ability to EDIT. Your peer must be able to add comments and make marks on your draft. You might want to make yourself a copy just in case. If you are using paper, your peer will be making marks on your paper copy.

3 Read your classmate’s paper
Follow the directions on the peer editing paper. The more and better comments you give, the better the paper should be. General comments like “nice” and “you did a good job” help no one. When you score it, be honest. It is better to have a lower grade from a peer during editing THAN to have a lower score from Mrs. Bowe for a grade.

4 Once you have finished peer editing:
Begin REVISING again. Consider the order. Counterarguments are more effective when they follow the rhetorical device which is addressed. I like ethos, logos, pathos, because it is alphabetical and easier to remember. It might not be the best order for YOUR paper.

5 Homework: On Friday. You will turn in the following:
Final paper Revision copy Stamped rough draft Peer editing sheet Scoring Guide (no scoring guide, no GRADE!!!)
