What is the Leaving Certificate Applied?
It is a distinct, self-contained two-year Leaving Certificate programme aimed at preparing students for adult and working life It emphasises forms of achievement and excellence which the established Leaving Certificate has not recognised in the past

Recognises talents of all pupils Promotes communication and decision making skills

STUDENT PROFILE Students who have:
A good work ethic and enjoy project work Excellent attendance record as credits are given for student interaction with classroom assignments. Good behaviour record (work experience) Willingness to learn and actively participate in whole programme (school trips and fundraisers) Self-motivated with a positive attitude towards schoolwork and authority

Application Procedure
An application form must be completed Parents/Guardians and student must attend an interview To ensure the success of the students placement, the parent must sign a contract stating he/she will source work experience for their son/daughter for the duration of the programme Registration day prior to return to school in August Course fee of €120 collected in instalments.
