PowerPoint - -Presentation Project
Once you are in your groups, you are to designate responsibilities of each group member.
The group is responsible for creating a PowerPoint on the Roaring 20’s & a one page paper (Times New Roman Size 12 font) summarizing your findings on the topic.
Your PowerPoint must include the following elements but is not limited to them.

Research the following:
Black Sox Trial of 1921
Tennessee vs. John Scopes
Sacco & Vanzetti
For each trial you must research & present the following:
Who were the major figures of the trial?
What was the case about?
Was there any bias or prejudice that impacted this trial?
What was the outcome of the trail?
What is your position on the on the decision?
(Do you agree with the outcome or not)?
(minimum eight slides)

4. Research the following: (minimum eight slides)
Mass Media of the 1920’s
Research the following:
Movies (motion pictures)
Newspapers & Magazines
Radio
For each element of mass media you must research & present the following:
Who were the major networks or controllers of the media?
Who were major talents (stars) for that media?
How did that media impact or change society’s function?
How did that media impact modern pop culture?
Would your life be different today without the advent of this media?
(minimum eight slides)

5. Sports figures of the 1920’s
Research three of the following:
(But, not limited to the following)
Jack Dempsey
Jim Thorpe
George Herman “Babe” Ruth
Helen Wills
For each sports figure you must research & present the following:
What sport did each figure participate in?
How did the figure impact the sport that they played?
Did the figure impact a change within American society?
What was the figure’s major accomplishment?
(minimum eight slides)

Art of the 1920’s
Research the following:
Music (Specifically Jazz & Jazz Clubs)
Painting & Literature
Harlem Renaissance
For each area of art you must research & present the following:
Who were some of the major figures?
What major works did those figures produce?
What was the figure’s impact on American society?
What is your position on this figure?
(minimum eight slides)

7. Prohibition & Organized Crime (minimum eight slides)
of the 1920’s
What were the goals of Prohibition?
How did organized crime profit from bootleggers and speakeasies?
Who were some of the major figures of organized crime?
What activities were these figure’s associated with?
Do you think Prohibition was a good idea?
