The Three Little Crabs Amanda Butts (New twist on The Three Little Pigs)
2
Once upon a time there was a mother crab who had three baby crabs.
The three little crabs grew up and their mother said, “I don’t have enough room for us all. It’s time for you to go build your own homes. But beware of the big scary octopus.”
3
The three little crabs were crawling through the wide open ocean when they came across some nice seagrass. “I’m going to build my house with this seagrass,” said the first little crab. “Now I’ll be safe from the big scary octopus,” he said.
4
The two other little crabs went on their way through the wide open ocean. Soon, they came across some old driftwood. “I’m going to build my house out of this driftwood,” said the second little crab. “Now I’ll be safe from the big scary octopus,” said the second little pig.
5
The third little crab then set off to find something to build her new home.
As she crawled through the open ocean she came across a pile of big beautiful rocks. “I’m going to build my house out of these beautiful rocks,” said the third little crab, “then I will be safe from the big scary octopus.”
6
The next morning the octopus went swimming through the ocean when he came across a new house made of seagrass. KNOCK-KNOCK-KNOCK “Little crab, little crab, let me come in.” “Not by the feelers on my pinchy pinchy pinchers,” said the first little crab.
7
“Then I’ll swat and I’ll swat, and I’ll knock your house down
“Then I’ll swat and I’ll swat, and I’ll knock your house down!” said the big scary octopus. And the seagrass house came down.
8
Then the octopus came across a house made of old driftwood.
KNOCK-KNOCK-KNOCK “Little crab, little crab, let me come in.” “Not by the feelers on my pinchy pinchy pinchers,” said the second little crab.

“Then I’ll swat and I’ll swat, and I’ll knock your house down
“Then I’ll swat and I’ll swat, and I’ll knock your house down!” said the big scary octopus. Then the old driftwood house came down.

KNOCK-KNOCK-KNOCK “Little crab, little crab, let me come in.” “Not by the feelers on my pinchy pinchy pinchers,” said the third little crab.

“Then I’ll swat and I’ll swat, and I’ll knock your house down
“Then I’ll swat and I’ll swat, and I’ll knock your house down!” said the big bad octopus. But the big scary octopus hurt his tentacles and the big beautiful rock house wouldn’t come down.
12
So the three little crabs lived happily ever after in the beautiful rock house.
The End
