Specials:
During the next few weeks, we will administer the Math DIBELS, DIBELS, and DRA tests for the final time this school year. Please remember to have your child eat a good breakfast, get plenty of rest and make sure your child is on time for school. Thank you for your attention to these assessments that will help us chart and communicate your child’s progress to next year’s teachers.

The 26th of May is field day starting at 9:15 am on the field, followed by the class picnic at 10:20.  You are welcome to join us for field day and lunch, and then take your child home after the picnic. It is a half day of school that day, so if you are unable to attend the picnic or take your child home, he/she can stay for EDP. If you choose, you may order a t-shirt in blue or gold for Field Day. Orders close May 5.
Field Trip:
On May 20 we will be going to Indian Echo Caverns leaving at 8:45 and returning around 12:15. We will eat a picnic lunch at the caverns. Your child will need to pack a lunch including a drink for the field trip.
The cost per chaperone is $9.00 paid in advance. Please contact us if you would like to chaperone this trip. Your clearances must be turned in to Debbie O’Day in order to attend this trip.
To Remember
The EC Strings Concert is on Thursday, May 4 at 6:00 pm in the McCormick Auditorium. Your child will go home after school and return at 5:45 pm for the concert. You will drop off and pick up your child in a classroom near the auditorium.
Our last full day of school (i.e. 7:30-2:40) is on Tuesday, June 7th. On Wednesday, June 8th, the children will come to school with you and depart with you after the Closing Ceremony (i.e. 8:00am-9:00am).
