Will Good and Religious People Be Saved?

Where is the answer found?
Not personal feelings or opinions Not what others have said Not religious writings of men But, the word of God

Why is a person lost? Not because he lacks goodness or religion? But, because he is in sin (Eccl. 7:20; Rom. 3;23)

What does not save… Religious works (Mt. 7:21; 23:1-36; Lk. 6:46) Goodness (Mt. 19:16-23) Riches (Lk. 16:19-31)

What does not save… Faith alone (Jn. 12:42-43) Religion alone (Acts 2:5; 8:27; 16:13-14) Ignorance (Acts 3:17)

What does not save… Moral goodness and belief in God (Acts 10:1-3, 34-35, 48; 11:14) Baptism alone (Acts 19:1-6)

What does not save… Honesty and sincerity (Acts 22:16; 23:1; 24:16; 26:9) Hearing truth alone – almost obey (Acts 24:25; 26:28)

What does not save… Religious zeal (Rom. 10:1-3; Gal. 1:13-14; Phil. 3:6) Past salvation (Gal. 5:4; Tim. 4:1; Heb. 12:15)

What saves? Not goodness and religion alone But, obedience to the gospel (2 Thess. 1:8; Heb. 5:9) and faithful living

What saves? Hearing (Eph. 1:13) Believing (Acts 16:31) Repenting (2 Cor. 7:10) Confessing (Rom. 10:9-10) Being baptized (Mk. 16:16) Faithful living (Phil. 2:12)

Will they be saved? No, if their goodness and religion is not found in the NT Yes, if there goodness and religion is found in the NT
