Political Parties The two parties have been Republican and Democrat since the 1860s The parties allow for like minded people who share common beliefs and thoughts to work together Sometimes a third party affects elections causing runoffs when normally there wouldn’t be one

Voting in Georgia Voter must be a resident of United States
Voter must be 18 years old by election day Voter must be a legal resident of GA and county where you vote Primary- Two parties vote for candidates General- When someone is elected for a position Special- elections to give special issue to voters
