2 Camp Thunderbird Student cost: $140 Chaperone cost: $100
3 days, 2 nights March 20th, 21st, 22nd (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday) Must drop off luggage at Furr prior to trip and picked up after our return Student cost: $140 Chaperone cost: $100

3 Chaperones We are in need of at least 1 chaperone per 15 students (Minimum of 10 needed). If you are interested, please fill in your information on the white forms floating around. You’ll need to have a background check and fill out a waiver form. We will need to know if you intend to be a chaperone by January 5th.

4 Activities at Camp We will do some of the following activities:
Ziplining (optional) Ecology Canoeing Living History Museum Skits

5 Cabins Students and adults will be placed in same gender cabins.
All girls from one class will be in one cabin with their female chaperones and all boys from one class will be in another cabin with their male chaperones. There are 2-4 showers per cabin and students must be quick with their showers to allow everyone their turn.

6 What to Bring Please pay close attention to the “What to Bring” list provided by Camp Thunderbird. Students should not bring any electronics because they will not have much down time and will not utilize them on this trip. Cell phones are not permitted by students-we will have a Camp Thunderbird phone number available and you are able to your student as well! Fishing poles are permitted and are transported my vehicle, not bus.  *Tape or rubber over the hook!

7 Medication at Camp Students will receive a medication form that must be filled out by your doctor to reflect the trip, including over the counter medications. All medications must be turned into the nurse no later than February 16th. Teachers must carry all medication for this trip, including Tylenol, allergy medicine or inhalers. We travel group to group to be with students for med times/needs. If you are chaperoning the trip, you will administer your own child’s meds and will not need any doctor notes.

8 Luggage Drop-Off/Pick-Up
Luggage cannot be taken on a school bus so you must bring it to Furr. Drop off: Tues., March 19th (3:15-5:30) and Weds., March 20th (7:00-7:40) Pick up: Fri., March 22nd (3:15-5:30) and Mon., March 25th (7:00-7:40) Please label each bag/loose item with your child’s name using masking tape or sharpie. (Jackets, sleeping bags) Luggage must be picked up from the Kindergarten hallway. Car riders, walkers and Kids Plus may bring theirs to their car/home.
