an association of people, groups, or nations who agree to cooperate to achieve a common goal

an alliance involving many different countries to improve international relations and solve global problems.

tax on a product being sold between countries

a numerical limit on the amount of something that may enter a country.

buying and selling of goods between countries, people or groups. Includes bartering.

9. Ambassador
a diplomatic official of the highest rank sent by one country as its long-time representative to another country.

the residence or place of business of an ambassador in a foreign country.

economics and other assistance given by one country to another to maintain good relations between nations

a measure taken by one or more nations to apply pressure on a nation to comply with international law or opinion.

buying more in dollar amount from another country than you sell to that country.

difference between a country’s imports and exports during a specific period of time.

practice of using tariffs, quotas, and other measures to protect domestic industries.

the practice of opening new markets around the world to trade and other innovations. Includes financing, investment, and currency exchange.
