Certified Peer Specialist
wicps.org Join our training to become a Certified Peer Specialist A certified peer specialist is someone who has lived experience with mental illness and/or substance use disorder, and has formal training to support recovery. An active participant on the consumer’s treatment and recovery team. A paid professional who uses their experience and training to support recovery. You must complete an application and pass an interview to be selected for training. Only the first 50 applications will be considered. Applications will only be accepted from the following counties: Columbia, Dane, Dodge, Green Wednesday August 8th Thursday August 9th Friday August 10th Monday August 13th Tuesday August 14th Friday August 15th 9am-5pm To request an application, or for more information, contact Dee Nash: Applications must be received by Friday, June 20th, 2018 ACCESS to Independence 3810 Milwaukee St. Madison, WI 53714 ACCESS to Independence is a fragrance FREE zone. You must successfully complete the state-approved Peer Specialist training and pass the certification exam to be a certified Peer Specialist.
