Latitude/longitude, hemisphere, continent Absolute location The location of a place based on a fixed point on Earth Address, latitude/longitude Relative location The general location of a place based on it’s surroundings Street name, town, city, state, country, landmark, N, E, S, W

Term Definition Example Human/Environment Interaction The relationship between people and their environment. How people adapt to their environment and how they change their environment. 3 categories Depend: food supply, oxygen, natural resources, and water. Impact: pollution, over use of natural resources Help the environment: walk or ride your bicycle, reduce, reuse, or recycle, use renewable energy

The study of movement of people, goods, and ideas from one place to another. Movement of people: bus, car, walk, bike, train, plane Movement of goods: truck, ship, train, plane Movement of ideas: phone, , internet, letters
