Steps of the water cycle
Evaporation-liquid turns to gas (water vapor) Condensation- gas turns to liquid (clouds) Precipitation-rain and snow Runoff-water flows down mountains and surfaces into streams and lakes Infiltration- water soaks into ground (groundwater) Transpiration- water absorbed by trees and released into air as water vapor
