WE SAW THAT THERE IS A DEFELCTION IN THE GALVANOMETER WHEN THE MAGNET IS MOVING. SO WHEN THERE IS A CHANGE IN THE NUMBER OF MAGNETIC LINES , AN emf IS DEVELOPED AS LONG AS THERE IS A CHANGE IN THE NUMBER OF MAGNETIC LINES. THIS IS CALLED ELECTROMAGNETIC INDUCTION.

THE MAGNITUDE OF INDUCED emf DEPENDS UPON RATE OF CHANGE OF MAGNETIC FLUX THE NUMBER OF TURNS IN THE COIL TO FIND THE DIRECTION OF MOTION OF THE CONDUCTOR, WE USED FLEMING’S LEFT HAND RULE TO FIND DIRECTION OF INDUCED EMF FLEMING’S RIGHT HAND RULE LENZ LAW

LENZ’S LAW THE DIRECTION OF INDUCED emf IS SUCH THAT IT OPPOSES THE CAUSE WHICH PRODUCES IT THE MAGNET IS MOVING TOWARDS THE COIL. SO MAGNETIC LINES ARE CUT BY THE COIL AND emf IS PRODUCED. NOW READ THE LENZ’S LAW. WHAT WILL BE THE POLES? SO IF IT IS NORTH POLE, THE CURRENT IS MOVING IN AN ANTICLOCKWISE DIRECTION. THE MAGNET IS MOVING AWAY FROM THE COIL. SO MAGNETIC LINES ARE CUT BY THE COIL AND emf IS PRODUCED. NOW READ THE LENZ’S LAW. WHAT WILL BE THE POLES? SO IF IT IS SOUTH POLE, THE CURRENT IS MOVING IN AN CLOCKWISE DIRECTION
