2. Firstly, you need to set up at least one group or class from the ‘Your Classes’ tab at the top of your LLS dashboard.

3. When you do this, your students will be assigned a user name and password. The password for all students is “password” until they change it themselves.

4. To assign a challenge to this Year 9 class, select ‘Assign to class’ from the challenges tab and select the class from the list.

5. Your students will login using their section of the site

6. They will be prompted to change their password the first time they log in. This will then show to you in your Class list, just in case they forget it later.

7. Your students need to recognise China and click it on the map.

8. The first time they enter, they will encounter the back story

9. After they’ve read the story, they will find themselves on the student dashboard. Students will need to select ‘Challenges’ to find out what challenges have been assigned to them.

10. They can access all other challenges from the map screen by clicking the green, yellow and red pins.

11. Learning activities. Students must complete all of these activities before they can take the test and move on in the challenge.

15. Then students will go into the graphic novel

16. And where needed, select the correct translation.

17. When a student completes a challenge they are awarded a badge that shows in the Badges tab on their dashboard.

18. And you will be able to see that the student has finished.
