2 Solving an inequality is like solving an equation, what so ever you do to the left of the equation, that you must do to the right.

3 You can not list all the solutions that make an inequality true.
Use a number line to show the solution set.

4 You can add the same number to both sides of the inequality and it will still be true for the same set of numbers.

5 You can subtract the same number from both sides of an inequality and it will still be true for the same set of numbers.

6 When solving an inequality, don’t change the inequality sign to an equal sign as you are doing the problem!

7 Solve each inequality #1 𝑥−3≤6 #2 𝑥+4>18 #3 𝑚−1≥−6 #4 1≤𝑥+2 #5 −10>𝑠−8

8 Words→ Inequality The sum of a number and fifteen is less than or equal to twenty-five.
