Solving an inequality is like solving an equation, what so ever you do to the left of the equation, that you must do to the right.

You can not list all the solutions that make an inequality true.
Use a number line to show the solution set.

You can add the same number to both sides of the inequality and it will still be true for the same set of numbers.

You can subtract the same number from both sides of an inequality and it will still be true for the same set of numbers.

When solving an inequality, don’t change the inequality sign to an equal sign as you are doing the problem!
