Analysing the extent to which the environmental interim objectives for 2010 and long-term objectives for 2020 laid down in the NEC directive are likely to be met

1: In depth analysis of NEC national programs (10 MS)
Consistency of the MS national programmes on Air quality, GHG and ETS, under other directives (LCP, VOC) - NEC gases and PM
Comparison with the IIASA NEC projections
Use of "Recommendations on developing and reporting national programmes under the National Emission Ceilings Directive"
2: Analysis of EU compliance to the obligations under NEC directive
Development of criteria for fulfilling the requirements of MS reporting under the NEC directive.
Collection of supplementary data from the MS to verify that the programmes developed cover the aspects required by the directive.
Comparison with the national projections and the information from the RAINS model.
Summary estimates of the fulfilment of ceilings for the European Community.
Provide recommendations for further action.
