12. Fives, another way If you are multiplying 5 times an EVEN number:
Take half of the number
Tack a zero on the end!
6 x Take half of 6 = Tack the 0 = 30
If you are multiplying 5 times an ODD number:
Subtract 1 from the number
Tack a five on the end!
7 x Subtract 1 from 7 = Take half = 3
Tack the 5 = 35

Here is 9 x 4 (the 4th finger is bent)
Your first digit in your answer is the number of fingers to the left.
The second digit in your answer is the number of fingers to the right.

Subtract 1 from the # you are multiplying (4)
4 will be your first digit in your answer
To find the second digit, add to get 9:
