4 This presentation will help me keep calm.

5 When I’m angry or upset there are three things I can try.

6 Think before I do anything! Take a ‘time out’!
I can stop and think! Think before I do anything! Take a ‘time out’!

7 Take time to relax and calm myself down.
I need to take three deep breaths! Take time to relax and calm myself down.

8 I can close my eyes and think……

9 ……..of a strawberry and a candle.

10 air in When I think of the strawberry I can take a deep breath in through my nose. Like I’m smelling the strawberry.

11 Hold my breath and count to three slowly in my head.
1-2-3 Hold my breath and count to three slowly in my head.

12 air out Then I think of the candle. I can breathe out slowly through my mouth. Like I’m blowing the candle out.

13 I can try to do this three times.
Start again.. I can try to do this three times.

14 This will help me feel calm inside.

15 I can then try to move away and think of something I like.
(I can draw a picture of the thing I like thinking of in the thought bubble above)

16 This is a good idea.
