3. Background & Justification: Most of the workers in Bangladesh are not covered under any sorts of social security schemes, except Government employees & regular workers of formal economy. No social security schemes for the workers of informal economy. No maternity benefits or any other sorts of social security schemes for women of informal economy. Even, contributory provident funds, maternity benefits are very irregular in the formal economy. So, we should have a work plan to implement the existing labor law & to achieve some sorts of social security schemes for all workers of both formal as well as informal economy.

Activities : To arrange meeting with the general Secretary and the President of Bangladesh Labour Federation-BLF : To arrange meeting with the basic union leaders, NGOs & other labour union leaders :To frame a small group to work on a continuous basis. : To raise awareness among the workers through training, workshop, postering, leaflets and short movies.
