The Game Plan
I would like to take a moment to thank all of those who were able to attend Curriculum Chat! I will be contacting anyone who was not able to set up a Parent-Teacher conference early this week. During our fifth week of school the students will continue working on answering 5 ‘W’ Questions in Reading. Our first WOW Wednesday will be this week (09/09/15).
What We’re Practicing
ELA: We will working on our decoding skills through our fifth spelling word list (long vowels). We will also work on describing detailed information about a story and answering the 5 ‘W’ questions.
Writing: We will be creating lists of “Silly Sentences” to give us ideas to write about! We will also be practicing how to incorporate Sound Words in our writing.
Math: We will take our Chapter 2 Check (Test) and begin studying Line Plots!
Science: We will be studying weather and the important roles the Sun plays!
Social Studies: We will be working with the 7 Continents and the 4 major Oceans! e
Please remember that our classroom is a Peanut-Free Classroom. As a result, no snacks or birthday treats containing peanuts should be brought into the classroom!
