Summer School At-A-Glance
June 25 - August 2 (new credit) June 25 - July 12 (credit recovery) No classes on Fridays, with the exception of July 6; no class on July 4 7:30 -1:45 pm (Monday-Thursday) Labs open during school day Graduation August 10 a.m., North Stafford HS Tuition must be paid before first class No refunds after June 28; refunds only issued by check, even if payment is made through OSS

Credit Recovery Students must work at home and in the lab
Courses facilitated by a Lab Facilitator Students also have a Distance Learning/TOR [content expert] School hours are from 7:30 am - 1:45 pm, Monday - Thursday Students should bring headphones each day Students are expected to take SOL tests and Industry Certification tests during the testing window More than two absences will result in failure of the course and forfeiture of tuition Potential NCAA athletes must take course for initial credit

New Credit ~ General Information
Students complete a full credit course in six weeks (June 25-August 2) Very rigorous, intense content Designed for highly-motivated students Must have teacher and counselor recommendation Students primarily work at home Students have a Distance Learning/TOR assigned to them Summer School potential NCAA athletes must use this model and participate in a 6.5 hour day in the lab from June 25 - August 2 Students are expected to take SOL tests and Industry Certification tests

New Credit ~ Daily Expectations
Average of 4 hours of work every day, including weekends Reliable Internet connection required Students must come to Learning Lab for midterm, final, and SOL/W!SE test Final grades will be placed on transcript All coursework will be completely online, with the exception of the midterm and final exam Should a student fail to make adequate daily progress in the course, they will be required to “catch up” in the school’s learning lab, until they are back on pace

3 Keys to Summer School Success
Must stay on track with Daily Pacing Activity Guide Communicate regularly with Teacher of Record and Lab Facilitator Be prepared to work hard every day

Refunds You must pay for summer school at your base school
Refunds must be requested before June 28 No refunds will be given after June 28 Refunds issued by check, even if payment was made through OSS.
