Good Morning, Greetings… Series of lessons on “The Blessings Of Christianity.” Ephesians 1:3 “we have all spiritual blessings in Christ Jesus.” Thus far we have looked at the spiritual blessing of the… Kingdom of God i.e. the church and hope Today we will look at the spiritual blessing of “Peace.” (SLIDE)

In John 14:27, as Jesus is explaining that He will be leaving them for the Father soon but that the Father will send them “The Helper,” says a powerful statement…”My Peace I Give To You.” When we think of all the “blessings” there are peace would be at the top of everyone’s list, child of God or not. Because of the impact peace, or the lack there of, has on peoples lives it is important we, children of God, strive to understand exactly what “peace” is given to us as a spiritual blessing. There is a perceived measure of peace that all can achieve but the peace that Christians receive and grow in “surpasses all understanding and other illusions of peace” (Philippians 4:7). The reason for this is that “peace without God is not peace” it is a lie used by Satan to deceive the ignorant. With this in mind let us examine our lesson for today. The spiritual blessing of peace that God gives is a…(SLIDE)

Burden Lifter All people are created with a “need” for God.
There is a hole without God in ones life. Illustrate the many pursuits of man as they seek to fill a void that can only be filled by God. That hole or void in ones life that keeps people from having peace is the burden of sin. (SLIDE)

Psalm 38:4 “For my iniquities have gone over my head; like a heavy burden, they are too heavy for me.” Sin is a burden all will bear (Romans 3:23; 1 John 1:8, 10) but it is not a burden we must endure for ever. Christ came to “lift the burden” of sin. (SLIDE)

Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Brethren when God spiritually blesses us in Christ Jesus with peace He is giving us a “burden lifter.” We don’t have to “hang on” to that sin anymore but rather can live peaceful lives in Christ!!! Another spiritual blessing of peace that God gives is a…(SLIDE)

Chaos Remover This life is full of chaotic happenings because of sin and the lack of stability it provides. When we obey the gospel and are given the spiritual blessing of peace we are given the ability to see past the chaos and remove it from our lives. (SLIDE)

1 Corinthians 14:33 “For God is not a God of confusion but of peace…”
The spiritual blessing of peace brings chaos into order by giving us everything we need to live godly and peaceful lives in Christ through God’s Word. The spiritual blessing of peace brings chaos into order in our… Worship services as seen in this verse but not just in worship services but in every aspect of our lives, our homes, work places, etc. The spiritual blessing of peace

Brothers and sisters the spiritual blessing of peace that God gives each of us will fall by the wayside if we don’t trust in God. Isaiah wrote, “You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you” (Isaiah 26:3). Let each of us trust in our God who wants to continually bestow upon us His peace!!! I pray that the “God of peace” blesses you abundantly with the His peace!!!
