Parent Focuses at this time of year:
-READ and do MATH over break!!!!!
-If you are traveling or taking time off, talk to your child about what he or she is seeing. Ask questions, have them think about time chunks and planning and input on things to do
-Encourage your student to learn and play in both a technology and real world medium. Balance is important
-Reconnect with your teacher for the second half of the year. We do not have parent teacher conferences scheduled as a whole but please communicate with your child’s teacher. It is amazing to note how big a difference the communication can make
-Expect more at home so your child can build their capacity to expect more at school
