2 History Mayflower The Mayflower was the ship that brought the Pilgrims to America. The ship arrived in Massachusetts, on September 16, 1620, with 102 passengers on board. The voyage took 65 days, during which time two people died and Oceanus was born. The colonists had been granted a territory in Virginia, but the ship landed at Plymouth, Massachusetts, on November 11th 1620. The trip lasted 66 days. Fifty two people survived the first winter. The oldest woman was 70 years old.

3 Biography of William Bradford
William Bradford was the longest-serving and most well-known governor of thePlymouth Colony, one of Britain's earliest settlements in what is now the United States of America. Bradford served as Plymouth governor four different times, for a total of 30 years, and kept a record of the colony's goings-on that has been handed down as of Plymouth Plantation.

4 Composition of the Mayflower
The ship had four masts and was 80 feet wide. The Mayflower weighed 20 gross tons and had three decks. The lower deck was 110 feet long. The width of the lower deck measured 110 feet. The ship was 55 feet high.
